Coles Bay Retreat is an exclusive and secluded 2 bedroom self-contained cottage with its own private beach and convenient road access from Picton.
Coles Bay is a small sheltered cove in the Marlborough Sounds, ideal for all water sports from kayaking to fishing.
Access to the retreat is by road. It is a leisurely 40 minute drive from Picton along the main Waikawa trunk road, and just past Oyster Bay. Originally built in the 1970's and nestled in its own bay (complete with private beach), it has been tastefully renovated and refurbished offering total modern comforts and conveniences.
The open plan cottage sleeps up to 4 people -complete with 2 bedrooms ( 1 x queen,1 x twin,) and is ideal for a small family or a couple. The house which is is surrounded by garden, and on either side streams flow gently to the beach, however there are no fenced in areas therefore for safety reasons we do not encourage families with very young children.
Coles Bay Retreat has a brand new well-equipped kitchen with Fisher & Paykel appliances including dishwasher. The open living area features a wood buring stove, telephone,television with freeview, DVD player, CD player, and stereo. The bathroom area has a shower, vanity,and laundry area with washing machine. there is a separate toilet.The bedrooms are furnished with quality duvets and pilows. heaters are available in each of the bedrooms to ensure a cosy stay.
The new large deck is ideal to sit and watch the world go by while overlooking your own beach and crystal clear waters.
The single most attractive feature of Coles Bay Retreat is its location!
Exclusive access to the foreshore for beach-combing, safe swimming and mooring a boat. Either sit on the deck, take out your own kayak, or boat or just look out to the beach and ocean and relax and unwind. Either way Coles Bay Retreat is truly your "home away from home".
